The dude abides...

So its posting season again. I seem to post every two months or so and I almost always promise to post again soon. Ha suckers! Anyways, I have been amazingly busy in the studio and trying to make Fake Science a reality. The good news is that FS is coming along brilliantly and we are doing some really exciting things.

On the forefront we have been diligently working on our upcoming (or depending when you read this, it may be out) podcast. Yup, Fake Science has jumped onto the technology bandwagon and we have created our own podcast that will be live March 7^th, come hell or high water.

At this point we have been working on it for about a month, planning our program, lining up interviews, creating custom music and voiceovers for bumpers, etc. The goal of the cast is to cover digital music and media trends and show off exciting new artists that we find nationally and as time progresses, internationally. Already we have been talking to some amazing people and I am really proud of our upcoming shows and guests.

So, come March 7^th check out the site, marvel in the new look (thanks Molly for the amazing logo!!!) and take a listen to our show. Hopefully ya’ll enjoy it as much as we did making it. And if not… you can fuck off and die. *grin*

On the live band tip, Subimage is back into rehearsal for the new Bernal Hill EP with all new music. Chris “Soupy” Campbell (vs. Chris “Cedub” Walcott… two Chris’ in a band makes it hell for me) is making some amazing new tunes and I am constantly blown away by what he is doing. Last time we were in the studio I teased Soupy about making harder basslines for me, jesus he took me up on the challenge. He is making me work, and honestly I love it.

Hopefully we will start recording the EP in April or so and we landed a private gig up in Sacto for May. Apparently, some people saw us at the Cause and Effect show and loved us so much they want us for a house party. I still think it is a stalker plot to get Cedub but they have a hot tub so in the spirit of Rock and Roll we must abide.

Finally, I am slowly putting together my glamour site that every web geek needs and james.fakescience.com is starting to be put together, so if you are bored to tears you will soon have a place to surf to see shit you really don’t care about… until next time!
