Google and Advertising?
When I first set up my blog the advertising space above just said "This blank space provided by Google". I came back later to tweak my blog template, so it no longer said editMe! in the link section, and I saw that Google had put in some Ads. This is expected, since I am cheap and I am not currently paying for this service, but I was surprised to see advertising for Tannoy Studio Monitors and mixing services.
Apparently Google scans the blog, figures out the topic and then puts ads up there targeted towards people who may read the blog. The geek part of me thinks this is really cool and makes a lot of sense from a marketing perspective. The paranoid conspericy theroy part of me is stunned at how quickly they could determine what should be placed there. Anyway, something that I found interesting.
I just found out that Chris is finishing up the wiring in the studio and we have two bad circuts. He found the first one was caused by a loose wire in one of the Jboxs and he was able to stop the circut from tripping. He is currently tracking down the other issue and hopefully it is caused by a similar situation. I have to say I have learned a ton about construction on this project. I now know the best way to run wire, insulate walls, wire boxes, dig foundations, painting, and other assorted fun construction like techniques.
It looks like Sunday will be a festive day of touch up painting and if all goes well maybe even loading in some gear.
